I don't get it.
Just for giggles, I have been listening to Air
America for the past few days. I've heard pretty much nothing but bashing and
hatred , mostly directed toward our government. This is a stark contrast to
right-wing stations, who slam, if they do slam at all, terrorists. I'm not
talking the liberals here, like Michael Savage, for the record. Occasionally
they take potshots at the idiots who take potshots at the military.
Soldiers are incredible gentlemen, or
those who belittle their jobs would be mincemeat.
If I have to side with someone, who am
I going to side with: the government of my country, or those who support muslim
extremists? How much thought does it take to make that decision? I'm appalled
that most of the democratic party cannot make that decision reasonably.
Cindy Sheehan was asked by a reporter,
"What about those Iraqis who want the US to remain and help them builld their
government?"
She replied, "I think we
can leave and certainly work out something without having to have our military
there."
Perhaps she would like to
volunteer to be on the committee to make friends with those who killed her
son?
According to current polls, it is
likely a democratic president will be elected next. I'm glad we have a few
years to get our lives and affairs in order before this happens, and prepare for
the worst case. I do fear we will have to hit rock bottom before any turnaround
can occur.
