News from school
Actually, there IS no news. We have a new
Spanish teacher, and Lori she is not. We may have a new assistant principal.
There were apparently 3 excellent candidates and on Monday, one will be hired.
My computer is not working right.
I've rebuilt my desktop twice and it keeps going away, taking with it all new
files regardless of where I save them. I've resorted to keeping all on my
laptop again as I did at MHS. Network Nazis make me insane. It's bad enough
when a computer malfunctions and you have to fix it yourself before you can do
anything, but far worse when you can't do a damn thing because the NN's have
deemed you too incompetent to have admin rights and yet will not dash right over
and fix your issues.
My room is a
blazing pigsty. I've finally begun to purge all of my predecessor's things. He
certainly did not leave me the mess I had to clean up at my first 2 jobs. There
were a few drawers of things, and some personal things, that I placed in a box
for him, a box he ignored the few times he came back to visit. I still have
them set aside, for some odd reason. He took a few videos and things that were
his personally, but left a ton of things I do not want. It's time for them to
hit the dumpster.
It appears I am
permitted to requisition the Vernier physics lab equipment and the laptop lab.
Jerry is trying to make me a happy camper. It's just medieval to teach motion
using stopwatches and little toy cars. Period. I had best get the PO filled
out and fast. The kids will be so excited. I will be so excited.
What I am NOT excited about, however,
is someone else teaching Bio in my classroom. I have no prep first semester and
while I am teaching Physics, probably in Mary's room, (dammit I left my schedule
at school on my desk) Denise will be in MY room teaching bio. Harrrrumph.
