Broadband and the dissertation

8 more pages done. Urgh.
I now have a broadband card and a rather pricey broadband account. I can hop in here wherever I am now - yee haw. Not that I have had much time to do so - and when I think of something clever to write about, I'm always teaching, or driving, or in the shower - you get the picture.
Geoff is home on leave a week from tonight. He will be leaving the sandbox sometime between now and maybe Wednesday, although we aren't allowed to know for sure. He can call Angie when he is in Germany and again from Atlanta before he gets on a plane there for either Dayton or Columbus, so she can go fetch him. She is so excited that she is coming right out of her skin. I am horribly jealous that she gets to see him before we do, but that's her privilege now. I am just very grateful that she will be at the airport for him, and he won't have to walk off that plane to no one.
How odd it will be to return to the church where Geoff was baptized, confirmed, and received his Eagle Scout award to watch him mary the love of his life. I haven't been in that church in nearly a decade. I wonder what memories will return, and if anyone will remember us.....
Next, I guess, I shop for the mother-of-the-groom dress.
